Bass, Carol
As a youngster I watched my father paint
and sketch so it was something I grew up with. I always enjoyed drawing but
it wasn't until later in my life after my mother passed away in 1997 when
grieving her loss did I actually start painting on canvas. I work with
acrylics and enjoy painting anything that inspires me. Many times something
will catch my eye and I stand in awe overwhelmed with it's beauty. I feel
drawn to the canvas to paint something that expresses my own authenticity. I
paint landscapes, flowers, humorous cats, houses and still life objects. I
have been privileged to be a member of the CNY Art Guild for two years and
have won three different awards for my work. I welcome commissions.
Artist Bio's
Arnold, Eileen:
I have been taking photographs my entire
life and went completely digital in 2002. In addition to straight
photography I use Photoshop extensively to alter and combine photographs
with painterly results. My subjects range from landscapes, floral and bird
close-ups to colorful abstracts to whatever catches my eye. After retiring
from the Navy in 2004 I attended SUNY New Paltz and received two degrees in
2008 one in Visual Arts and the other in Anthropology. Always artistic I use
power point as a creative outlet while on active duty and took up oil
painting in college which I continue to pursue.

Dilday, Tre` I began my love affair with creating art in high school. I
started out by sketching and drawing in pencil and later taught myself to
hand carve, paint and wood burn walking sticks. I ventured into working with
acrylics and later watercolors. Recently I discovered scratchboard and I
have learned an appreciation for the variety of mediums as they offer
different qualities I like exploring. I am still enjoying this love affair
with making my artwork, I love it, I hate it, I know it's a part of me so I
love it again. To see my works please visit my website at:

Egan, Marsha, When my son was very young I always told him
to "take mental pictures" of those places, times and things that he would
want to remember. My mental pictures translate into my artwork. Last summer
following a visit to Santé Fe, NM I came back with so many ideas based on
the beautiful sunsets, architecture and cultural activities that I think I
could just paint these ideas for a very long time. When I have completed a
painting I feel a sense of excitement followed by closure, as if my visual
memory has come to life. When people see my work I hope that they too
experience a visual memory that is special to them.
